"Sign up your mum, your brother, your sister, your dad, your daughter, your niece, your nephew!"

That's the message from club legend Pete Barwick as he launched 'Membership Month' at the Glenorchy District Football Club.

The club currently has 760 members and we are racing to reach 1000!

After being in doubt in 2021, high-level women’s football is alive and well at the Glenorchy RSEA Magpies thanks to the generosity of a group of local businesses, with a trip to Melbourne highlighting an exciting Elite Women’s Program.

“While our women’s team strongly wanted to compete in the TSLW this year, with that competition put into hiatus for 2021, the club needed support to make sure our players were not lost to football or forced interstate without a local aspirational pathway for women,” club CEO Daryl Potter said.

Enter a group of five local businesses - including Temporary Fencing Hire (TFH) and Water Industry Solutions - who have pledged up to $40,000 to cover the cost of the Elite Women's Program, while our club’s naming rights partner RSEA Safety has recommitted as a major sponsor of our women's team in another huge boost.

The Glenorchy RSEA Magpies are delighted to announce Daryl Potter as the club’s new Chief Executive Officer (CEO).

Mr Potter’s appointment comes after a highly-competitive process that drew a number of well-credentialed candidates, and President John McCann is confident the new CEO can help take the club’s business operations to a new level.

Dear members,

On behalf of the Board  of the Glenorchy District Football Club - the RSEA Magpies - welcome to 2021.  It has been a busy off season at the club with both bar trade and functions returning to normal trading figures towards the end of 2020.
