Without your loyal custom we would cease to exist, and we are looking forward to seeing you back at the Club.
The good news is we have reopened for business on a limited scale and under the Covid-19 Guidelines.

The Herald Sun has named its 50 greatest VFL players of the past 20 years, since the turn of the millenium, and as a sign of the strength of the Glenorchy District Football Club, three Magpies made the list.
Dear Magpie family,
As we have promised to keep you informed of developments and activities associated with our club, community and leagues it is now time for an update.
I am very proud to be able to thank the almost 50 people from our club family who have helped out the Food Bank and West Moonah Community House in their essential community work over the past five weeks, and a special thank you our club would like to extend is to RSEA.
I hope this message finds our extended club family in good health and good spirits. I have been touching base with many of our more senior members, volunteers and past players and have been pleased to find those contacted are coping well in tough times.
My message to them and all our extended family is please get in touch if we can help. I am contactable on This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. or 6272 9593.
We are partnering with our naming rights sponsor RSEA to help local charities, while working behind the scenes to keep the club strong in the current environment.
We are also looking at virtual ways to keep the Club community interacting and we hope to present a few fundraising ideas for the Club in the near future. Any suggestions please send them in.
Over the past two weeks 20 volunteers from our club have taken shifts at the Food Bank and packed in excess of 1000 food boxes to go out to those in need.
We are working shifts on weekdays from 9am-12pm and 12-3pm. If you are available to help please email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..
So far we have had senior and junior players, coaches, trainers, board members, former players, staff members and their families all help out in what has been a tremendous team effort that is urgently needed at this time.
Dear Glenorchy Magpie Family members,
Firstly, I hope you are all well and in good health, these are certainly testing times and I hope each of you have strong support networks at the moment.
Our club is proud to be playing a part in the First Choice Food Co-op's food parcel delivery service, and we want to give a shout-out to everyone who is teaming up to make this awesome service happen.
We also need more help. We're doing deliveries each Wednesday, and if you can spare two hours between 11am-1pm, please email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..
Dear members of the Glenorchy Magpie Family,
I don’t need to tell you that these are very challenging times for the Glenorchy District Football Club, the football community and everyone in our wider community.
Obviously, with the new government restrictions now in place, all the core operations of our club have now been suspended – our senior football teams, our junior club, our bar, function centre and bingo.
While our players are understandably disappointed not be taking on Clarence on 4 April after four months of intense pre-season training, we all understand the current situation is bigger than football.
The latest advice from the Federal Government is that:
Acting under this advice the GDFC Bingo will be cancelled and potentially recommence on Thursday 9th April.
Further information will be made available as it comes to hand via our Social Media and Website pages.
Signed
GDFC Board
