Libby Haines

Recruit Libby Haines has claimed the best & fairest award for the club's TSLW team.

Haines, recruited from Launceston via North Melbourne, was a fast starter in the count, picking up 44 votes in the opening four games before holding off a fast-finishing Sarah Skinner, who claimed the TSLW league award.

Haines was arguably the standout defender in the TSLW, earning a place in the Team of the Year and proving an impassable rock for her old side in the grand final, where she was named Glenorchy's best.

"Each week Libby played on the best forward from the opposition and beat them, her ability to win one-on-ones is very impressive, she is a really big part of our team's success and thoroughly deserves this award," TSLW coach Dean Webster said.
