Smith Corrie Cup

It was a huge week for the RSEA Magpies women's team who won their ninth straight game for season 2021 by defeating Clarence by 62 points.

With the return of stars like Sarah Skinner, Perri King and Molly Mitchell, the girls produced a stunning second quarter, booting 5.2 to 0.1 to bounce the Roos off Blundstone Arena and keep the Smith-Corrie Cup in Magpie hands.

It was a dominant display of contested football, pressure defence, fast ball movement and exquisite finishing around goal.

Joni Ransley's crunching tackle in the second term was an absolute highlight, as were the brilliant snaps from King and Mitchell.

Skinner booted 3 goals and was a standout along with Georgia Clark, who continued her outstanding debut season with another dominant performance in the ruck, with her follow-up work a feature.

Jemma Webster, King, Jenna Farrow and Mackie Sutcliffe were all a constant force throughout four quarters as the RSEA Magpies downed their biggest rival for the fourth-straight time.

In more good news, 10 of our stars have been named to represent Southern Tasmania in representative footy next week.

Congrats girls!
