Scott’s passion and enthusiasm for the game is evident immediately when you speak with him. He has a strong coaching background and particularly understands the dynamic of women’s football.
Scott brings with him a desire to improve the players individually and as a team. As an accredited level 2 coach, Scott began coaching in 1996 as a playing coach at Belconnen football club in Canberra. He held this position for 3 years, and he won his first premiership. As a clubman, Scott was also the Vice President of the Belconnen juniors at the time.
Scott has held several coaching roles including senior coach of the Hervey Bay bombers, Queanbeyan Football club and Mountain Creek High girls’ team on the Sunshine Coast. He was also pivotal in the formation of a new women’s side at Airport West.
Scott coaches with a focus on developing youth players, players individual skills and team play. He joins the GDFC Magpies for the 2022 season looking for a rewarding and fulfilling role and bringing his knowledge and enthusiasm to the Heartland.
