aaronAfter securing the TSL Senior Premiership in 2016 the Club is looking forward to the 2017 season with great anticipation.

The Club's loss of premiership players has been widely publicised and is not the preferred end to a Premiership season, however this situation has also paved the way for the clubs young talent to step into senior roles. The club has had some great inclusions this season in the playing group Zac Webster, Harry Parker, Dylan Grant and Josh Davie. Off the field we have added Nathan Foale as Senior Assistant and Jamie Ling as Development League Coach. The club is very proud of these appointments and welcome both former players back to the Black & White.

As always we are proud that some of our players have moved on to bigger and better things with players playing in the NEAFL, VFL and local Victorian Leagues. We wish them all the best for the 2017 season . We hope to seem them back at the Club in the future.

The playing group has had another tremendous preseason lead by fitness coach Sam Yee. There's been a great commitment and improvement over the summer and the playing group is ready to go for Round 1 against Hobart City.

We have list that contains a lot of young talent and throughout the 2017 season there will be several debutantes making their Senior TSL debut which naturally generates great interest and excitement around the Glenorchy football community. We look forward to seeing several of the next generation making the most of their opportunities this season as up-and-coming future Magpie stars.

The club is looking forward to the season and hosting its first home game at KGV on 8th April against Devonport where the presentation of the 2016 Premiership Cup to Glenorchy members and unavailing of the 2017 premiership flag will take place.

Some great events will also be happening at the football club this year with our new facility we hope to be a great focal point of the TSL in the years to come.
