This Saturday (4 June 2022), Matthew Joseph, will play his 150th game for the Glenorchy District Football Club, achieving Player Life Membership.
'Joey' epitomises the Northern Suburbs footy fairy-tale of a young kid running out with the Claremont Little League, dreaming of one day playing senior footy with Glenorchy.
After transitioning from junior football to the Mariners, he made his senior debut against Lauderdale in 2013. Joey worked hard to cement himself in our senior team, and achieved his favourite moment in football when he played in the 2016 Premiership team alongside his brother, Daniel
Although he ran alongside a number of fantastic players, he considers Matt Dilger, Brayden Webb and Jordy Arnold as his favourite team-mates.
A fearless competitor who always sticks up for his mates, Joey has gained a reputation as a great clubman who takes great pride in wearing the black and white
Congratulations Joey, a man very deserving of Life Membership.
