One of the stars of Tasmanian football achieves another milestone this week when Ben Kamaric plays his 150th game for the club against Lauderdale, attaining Life Membership
The name 'Kamaric' and the number 27 black and white jumper are synonymous at Glenorchy, and Ben (Dizzy) will proudly join his cousin, David (Disco), on the honour roll of GDFC Player Life Members.
Born with black and white in his veins, Ben is a product of our junior program and progressed through the ranks to make his senior debut in 2015 against Launceston at Windsor Park.
With his trademark dash and flair, Ben soon became a regular in the senior side and was a member of the club's 2016 TSL Premiership Team
Always a man to be found doing extra training, Ben's hard work and consistency saw him win the club's Best and Fairest in 2019 and 2021 and was named in the TSL Team of the year in the same years.
A creature of habit, Ben's footy superstitions include wearing the same jocks and eating the same food before each game!
Ben considers his father, Steve, uncle, David and Glenorchy legend, Michael 'Patch' Styles as his greatest influences, and names Liam Smith, Chris McKnight and Riley Oakley as his favourite teammates to play footy with.
Congratulations Ben, a fantastic achievement and testament to your hard work, dedication and loyalty to our famous club.
"Every time you run out in the black and white jumper, you leave it all out on the field and come off with no regrets" - Ben Kamaric.
