Was one of the shining lights when playing with the Tassie Mariners. He represented Tasmania at the 2007 AFL Under 18’s Championships, and made the ‘All Australian Under 18’s team.
2006 He made senior level of the Club, in doing so won the ‘Best First Year Player’ award.
2008 Aaron was selected by Carlton in the Rookie Draft with No.2 and the NAB AFL Draft Rookie elevation for Carlton was No. 83.
He commenced his Carlton career exclusively with the ‘Blues’ affiliate, the VFL Northern Bullants.
Joseph’s first appearance for Carlton was in the 2009 NAB Cup, playing in all 3 games. He was lauded for his performance in the Semi-final when played on Geelong’s Gary Ablett jnr.
His debut game for Carlton was round No.1 2009 and received a Rising Star nomination in round 11, after tagging St. Kilda’s Stephen Mile out of the game, and won the “Blues’ Best First Year Player award.
Indistinctively fierce at the footy, he gave his best when called on to do so. He played 73 games. Carlton delisted him in at the end of 2013. He signed a deal with S.A. Club, Glenelg from 2014 and remains there in 2019 after playing 98 games. |
